Photo Stories: Like Drops of Water

"You were born with wings, why prefer to crawl through life?" Rumi

Sufi whirling is a form of physical meditation, Dervishes aim to reach the source of all perfection, this is sought through abandon ones desires and egos by listening to music, focusing on God and spinning ones body in repetitive circles which had been a symbol imitation of planets in the solar system orbiting the sun, symboling Life.

Like drops of water, when they spin they reach a state of trance that leads them to the ocean.

This is the journey inside a Dervish mind that seeks tranquility and peace.
